AICD Foundations of Directorship program
The AgriFutures Ignite Network is offering 25 Ignite Network members the opportunity to attend the Australian Institute of Company Director’s Foundations of Directorship program. The three day course will be held in Sydney. Due to the impact of COVID-19 the course has been rescheduled from May to November 2020.
Successful applicants who complete the course will be equipped to take on positions of leadership and will be confident to apply for executive positions such as Advisory Panels and Boards. These skills will be particularly important not only for AgriFutures Australia but for other organisations across our rural industries who have recognised the importance of succession planning for these positions of leadership and the benefits that young passionate voices for our rural industries can bring.
Who should apply?
- Those with a current career in the agriculture sector
- Those who are passionate about the agriculture sector and who want to ensure its long term prosperity
- Those who are interested in developing key skills of directorship (note, you do not have to have prior board experience) and who think the skills gained could be utilised in their careers.
Costs
AgriFutures Australia will pay for your flights,4 x nights accommodation, and 1 X networking dinner. All other expenses such as taxis, meals, coffee etc will need to be covered by the successful applicant.

AgriFutures Ignite Advisory Panel
The AgriFutures Ignite Advisory Panel is an opportunity offered to the AgriFutures Ignite Network. Panel members will advise on all aspects of our Strategic R&D Plan 2017 – 2022 and the positioning of our organisation, our arenas and our priorities.
The Panel is an exciting opportunity for passionate rural leaders, innovators and entrepreneurs – present and future – to draw on their experience and networks to provide meaningful and relevant advice to AgriFutures Australia.
