The AgriFutures™ Ignite Network is offering 25 Ignite Network members the opportunity to attend the Australian Institute of Company Director’s Foundations of Directorship program. The three day course will be held in Sydney on Tuesday, 21 May 2019 to Thursday, 23 May 2019.
As outlined in the 2018-2019 Annual Operational Plan, a Key Performance Indicator of the Ignite Network is to “Engage the Ignite Network through one major capacity building event”. This KPI needs to be completed before 30 June 2019.
Successful applicants who complete the course will be equipped to take on positions of leadership and will be confident to apply for executive positions such as Advisory Panels and Boards. These skills will be particularly important not only for AgriFutures Australia but for other organisations across our rural industries who have recognised the importance of succession planning for these positions of leadership and the benefit that young, passionate voices for our rural industries can bring.
Who should apply?
- Those with a current career in the agriculture sector
- Those who are passionate about the agriculture sector and who want to ensure its long term prosperity
- Those who are interested in developing key skills of directorship (note, you do not have to have prior board experience) and who think the skills gained could be utilised in their careers
AgriFutures Australia will provide the following travel allowances for participants selected to attend the Foundations of Directorship course in Sydney:
WA or NT residents: Up to $1,500

The subsidy will cover some of the costs of travelling to Sydney and/or accommodation for the three nights in Sydney.
If eligible, the subsidy will be paid directly into the applicant’s bank account.
