Objective Summary

1) To determine the repeatability of tracheal stethoscopy as a measurement of respiratory sounds under field conditions. 2) To determine if the 'throat support device' alters respiratory sounds in a horse. 3) Is DDSP reliably detected by tracheal stethoscopy. 4) Is the 'throat support device' (TSD) an effective treatment for DDSP under racetrack conditions as determined by tracheal stethoscopy.
