This project will harness the internet to disseminate positive messages on the kangaroo industry and its products as well as countering inaccurate information placed by anti industry campaigners. The project will research and produce and load a range of material inclusive of short videos on the kangaroo industry and its products to contributor generated sites such as youtube and wikipedia, industry sites and any other suitable forum. It will also ensure resources are available to counter anti industry campaigns. All activities are designed to enable ongoing market research and industry development.
The new wave of threat to the kangaroo industry comes from unchallenged material on contributor generated internet sites such as Youtube, Myspace, photobucket, Wikipedia and others. Or is this in fact an opportunity? This project will enable the kangaroo industry to ensure these types of sites are loaded with positive messages about the kangaroo industry and its products. It will also ensure ongoing resources are available to counter antiindustry campaigns and spread positive industry messages in more traditional media.
