Summary
This project aims to undertake an emergency response exercise to test: 1) preparedness arrangements and decisionmaking in the event of a Varroa incursion, and 2) decisionmaking during a transition from an emergency to a management scenario for Varroa. These exercise scenarios will based on a hypothetical Varroa incursion that impacts on availability of pollination services. A scenario will be developed that tests emergency response and transition arrangements with a focus on how impacts to the pollination dependent sector will be managed. The exercises will be conducted along with formal evaluation to report on the exercise and recommend improvements to response arrangements.
