Summary

Accurate, relevant and timely data relating to farming and fishing, injury and illness is key to improve Work Health and Safety (WHS) performance. Currently, there is no one data source that contains information on all farm and fisheries related injuries. The work by AgHealth Australia, continues to provide detailed information about farm-related injuries in relation to fatal and non- fatal injuries, though lacks fisheries data. This project will provide an opportunity to work collaboratively to define industry and commodity specific WHS data objectives, and identify data gaps and ways for these data to be collected, analysed and communicated.
