Research activities on rural roads

Summary

The research will examine alternative approaches to costbenefit analysis of improved quality in rural roads. In particular, it will include new treatment of both direct and indirect cost and benefit items and variables of an intangible nature that particularly affect regional and rural areas.

Objective Summary

Using the Gwydr and Moree local authorities’ data as a case study, the work will draw conclusions for those localities and inference both for other localities and for methodological approaches more generally. The study will contribute to development of further research including piloting.
