Rapid assessments of regional primary industry competitiveness


This project will take the three regional studies supported by RIRDC to the next step to help provide strategic advice on possible barriers and enablers for regional agricultural competitiveness. Additional regions will be assessed using a 'rapid regional assessment' approach based on the the Value Assessment and Development Framework. It will draw out observations on the strengths, weaknesses and possible opportunities 7capitals and innovation characteristics. The project will identify areas (operating environment constraints) that could be considered to enhance Australian rural industries competitiveness. It will also provide advice on the merits of utlising a regional lens to identify national issues facing Australian rural industries.
