Summary

This project will develop tailored workshop content for farming groups to improve producer capacity and provide practical information to support technology adoption. The workshop content will be developed for both face-to-face delivery and online, including for utilisation in informative webinars. Workshop development will need to account for issues like a potential lack of connectivity at meeting venues, audiences with varying levels of digital literacy and requests from farming groups to tailor the information to their producer needs.  Topics included in the content, but are not limited to:
• foundational skills in technology adoption and demystifying the language around technology,
• navigating the agtech landscape, including knowledge of available resources and contacts,
• return on investment calculators and other decision-making tools,
• templates for the development of individualised technology adoption plans, and
• practical guidance for implementation/ integration into existing business/ production systems (adoption co-benefits).

Objective Summary

The workshop content should result in producers developing a good understanding of basic skills to navigate technology options, having
access to tools to evaluate technology benefits, having access to a network of ‘go-to’ resources and contacts, and having identified next steps in technology implementation. A pilot workshop will be delivered by Rural Edge Australia Inc. at the completion of the content development.
