The specific obrjectives are: To develop an efficient and reliable debarking machine for guayule To evaluate the effect of debarking on the qualityof latex produced from guayule To compare the economics of latex extractiion from guayule bark with that from whole plants To make appropriate recommendations for adoption of debarking technology by the guayule industry in Australia and overseas.
