Objective Summary

To identify the factors that constrain entry into retail space of valueadded venison products. Research will include primary and secondary research relating to retailers’ expected deliverables from their suppliers, including existing and new product development, packaging and marketing support. Final steps involve developing a generic marketing support strategy, new product development and testing procedure as a case study for use by other venison alliances and other new food industry businesses.
