Summary
Transformative Technologies was identified as a megatrend that will impact Australian Agriculture over the next 1520 years. Eight transformative technologies have been identified for further investigation through research, analysis and provision of a 612 page fact sheet about each technology below: 1. Sensors and networks 2. Robotics 3. 3D Printing 4. Synthetic biology 5. Digital Medicine 6. Nanomaterials 7. Artificial Intelligence 8. Internet of Things Industry, government and research organisation decision makers require reliable and timely information to better anticipate and understand such trends to inform policy design and implementation in areas including innovation and research, agriculture, trade, climate change, land use, energy, food production and infrastructure. It is also useful to inform research and development priorities and investments. The outputs from this project will provide this information in a succinct format to Industry, government and research organisation decision makers .

Objective Summary
The aim of the project is to provide an overview of key selected transformative technologies in relation to Australian agriculture. The objectives of the project are to: Share knowledge on key technologies that are impacting, or could impact, Australia’s rural industries over the coming 15 years, and Communicate this information to government, industry and research organisation stakeholders who have a role in rural industries in a concise format to help inform business, policy and research and investment decisions.
