Summary
The proposed project aims to overcome the gaps identified in VUT5A through holding the hands of five fSMEs through the ICIT ladderingup process. The proposed project will facilitate the identification, adoption and use of an appropriate suite of ICIT by five fSMES and use the findings of the proposed study to demonstrate the benefits of ICIT adoption to fSMEs such that it encourages a greater number of fMEs to ladder up the ICIT paradigm. The first phase of the project will entail a diagnostic study at five fSMEs. On completion of the diagnostic study, appropriate ICIT portfolios will be identified, reviewed, selected, adopted, trialled revised and customized to enable the five fSMEs to develop efficient value chain linkages and flowon benefits such as cost savings, access to new productmarkets and better quality relationships with stakeholders. Key individuals in the five fSMEs will be trained and mentored in the adoption and use of an appropriate suite of ICIT portfolios.
