Development of a Dairy Goat Industry RD&E Plan

Summary

This project will develop a 5 year strategy that reflects the dairy goat industry’s research, development and extension activity priorities. This plan will be developed through extensive consultation with industry and other relevant stakeholders. It will involve 6 stages: 1. Initial startup discussions and document collection 2. Industry situational analysis and RD&E strategy framework 3. Industry workshop to develop plan 4. Correspondence with industry to seek input on the plan (and commence ownership) 5. Revision of draft plan and submission to industry and RIRDC 6. Final plan Throughout the project the consultants will keep in close contact with RIRDC management and the project steering committee.

Objective Summary

The primary objective of this project is to prepare a five year RD&E plan that reflects the dairy goat industry’s research, development and extension activity priorities.
