Summary
The Franklin Institute of Wellness will complete an extensive survey study into the safety of tea tree oil in personal care products.The project is designed to answer the question of whether or not the inclusion of lavender oil and/or tea tree oil in personal care products is associated with endocrine disruption, including but not limited to, prepubertal gynecomastia. To answer that research question, Franklin Institute of Wellness have developed a measurement instrument to accurately measure exposure going back over a span of 15 years as well as two epidemiological study designs: casecontrol and crosssectional. The project addresses key issues around the safe use of tea tree oil.
