Locate the resting (roosting) sites at the Moreton Bay for target migratory birds species and resident waterbirds species and interface bird species. Collect fresh faecal materials from the targeted species resting sites for avian influenza virus PCR screening testing from May 2010 to October 2010 to compele the year around surveillance (Nov 09 to April 10 surveillance completed in the previous DAFF project) and sample the migratory birds when they fly back from northern hemisphere (Arctic or sub-Arctic regions) in September.
