Summary

There are few opportunities for equine scientists to meet and discuss their research. Equine Science 2012 provides an excellent vehicle for networking to occur.
Taken together, the objectives of the Symposium allow equine science research in Australia to be showcased. The interaction of equine scientists will increase communication between different groups, provide opportunities for collaboration and improve the return on the dollar invested in equine research in Australia. Increased research collaboration will ultimately flow into environmental benefits that relate to the management and husbandry of horses.

The objectives of the Symposium are:
1. Promote excellence in equine science
2. Focus on science technology innovation relevant to the Australian horse industry

5. Encourage participation of interested horse industry people
