Summary

This project aims to track 2020 annual statistics on farm deaths and injuries. Agriculture is recognised as a highly dangerous sector worldwide, hence the use of evidencebased solutions to address injury related incidents are critical to prevention.

Objective Summary

The service provider will assesses data captured through Australian print and online media and other information sources to gather data on unintentional farm injury and deaths in Australia. The information will also categorise the leading causes of death (tractors, quads, water/dams, farm utilities, motorcycles and horses), as well as general farm safety information such as projections of economic costs associated with these incidents.
