Agricultural Health and Safety Statistics 2019

Summary

This project aims to track 2019 annual statistics on farm deaths and injuries. Agriculture is recognised as a highly dangerous sector worldwide, hence the use of evidencebased solutions to address injury related incidents are critical to prevention. The service provider will assesses data from the National Coroner's Information System and other infomration sources to gather data on unintentional farm injury and deaths in Australia. The information will also provide categorise the leading causes of death (tractors, quads, water/dams, farm utilities, motorcycles and horses, as well as general farm safety information such as projections of economic costs associated with these incidents.

Objective Summary

The service provider will report on the first six months and full year statistics. The two reports will provide a comprehensive overview of the year to date and provide a higher level of statistical analysis.
