This scoping study reviews and documents the current state of knowledge on how, and why, rural enterprises engage in markets that have been designed to manage natural resources (for example, water markets, biodiversity and carbon offset markets and conservation tenders).
The report has been developed for policy makers, industry, natural resource management bodies, extension agents, non-government environmental organisations and those in the community that have an interest in the successful operation and establishment of markets for managing natural resources.
