The Australian oaten hay industry has matured in recent years with specialist growers aiming to produce a top quality product from high yielding crops suitable for high value export and domestic markets. The RIRDC commissioned a study of the disease constraints to oaten hay production. Part I of this project determined the relative importance of diseases to oaten hay production. Part II has examined the identification of these diseases and presented control options. These will enable priorities to be set for future work on the problems.
