Ptilotus is a native Australian plant genus that contains species with demonstrated potential for development as cut flowers as well as potted colour and bedding plants.
This RIRDC report describes biochemical, tissue type and temporal (time) nature of scent (volatiles) emissions from native Australian Ptilotus nobilis Passion and Purity flowers. It also reports on the desirability of Ptilotus nobilis Passion scent to consumers who may perceive fragrance as a desirable cut flower attribute.
