Emergency Animal Diseases (EAD) are severe outbreaks of local or exotic diseases that can cause harmful disruptions to the Australian agricultural industry. The disposal of infected animal carcasses, materials, equipment, products and by-products is a core component to industry recovery from an EAD outbreak, and the Australian Veterinary Emergency Plan (AUSVETPLAN) has outlined the national approach for the response to an incident, or suspected incident, within Australia.
