Expressions of Interest for the provision of corporate services to Rural Industries Research and Development Corporation trading as AgriFutures Australia. Responses to this EOI must be submitted via email by 5.00pm AEDT, Monday 17 December 2018.


The Rural Industries Research & Development Corporation trading as AgriFutures Australia is a Corporate Commonwealth Entity under the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability 2013 Act (PGPA Act) and is an agency in the Agriculture and Water Resources portfolio.

AgriFutures Australia was established as a statutory authority under the Primary Industries Research and Development Act 1989 (PIRD Act) for the purposes of:

  • Increasing the economic, environmental and social benefits to members of primary industries and to the community in general by improving the production, processing, storage, transport or marketing of the products of primary industries;
  • Achieving the sustainable use and sustainable management of natural resources;
  • Making more effective use of the resources and skills of the community in general and the scientific community in particular;
  • Supporting the development of scientific and technical capacity;
  • Developing the adoptive capacity of primary producers; and
  • Improving accountability for expenditure on research and development activities in relation to primary industries.

Requirement for corporate services 

AgriFutures Australia is seeking the provision of corporate services for the period 1 January 2019 – 31 December 2019 with a focus on:

  • Graphic design;
  • Social media;
  • Media and public relations;
  • Copy writing;
  • Photography;
  • Video
  • Printing;
  • Editing;
  • Website maintenance and design.

EOI applications 

Responses to this EOI must address the questions outlined in the “Response to EOI Form – Attachment A”.

In addition, it is important to note the following:

  • This EOI is an invitation to treat. AgriFutures is not compelled to accept or reject any responses from respondents.
  • Conflict of Interest – responses to this EOI are required to include information regarding any actual or perceivable conflict of interest that exists at the time of lodging. The successful organisation will be required to advise AgriFutures in writing of any changes in conflicts of interest at the time of contracting the services with AgriFutures or at any time during the term of the agreement when a conflict occurs.
  • Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance – details of professional indemnity and public liability insurance must be provided at commencement of services.
  • Services Agreement –  although AgriFutures is not compelled to accept or reject any responses, where it determines to enter into a contract for the provision of corporate services it will use a Services Agreement which is based on its standard terms.

Responses to this EOI must be submitted via email by 5.00pm AEDT, Monday 17 December 2018 to with the subject heading “Response to EOI – AgriFutures Australia – Corporate Services”.

Conditions of lodgment

The respondent agrees, by submitting responses to this EOI, that:

  • All documents become the property of AgriFutures upon submission;
  • It warrants that all information in the response is accurate and complete;
  • It will keep confidential any confidential information which is not in the public domain provided by AgriFutures in connection with this EOI process;
  • It will make any inquiries relating to this EOI only through the contact details provided; and
  • Pursuant to the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) it will be bound by the Australian Privacy Principles in respect of any act done or practice engaged in by the respondent in connection with this EOI process.

AgriFutures Australia’s rights

Without limiting its rights at law or otherwise, AgriFutures reserves the right in its absolute discretion at any time to:

  • Cease to proceed with, or suspend the EOI process;
  • Vary the EOI structure;
  • Vary any time or date specified in the EOI;
  • Require additional information or clarification from the organisation submitting a response to this EOI;
  • Request a new response to this EOI;
  • Reject any responses to this EOI received after the closing date as described in section 3.9 of this document;
  • Reject any responses to this EOI that do not comply with the requirements as described in this document; and
  • Publish the name of the successful respondent.
