Summary

Conversion of chicken litter to Biochar is a topic of interest among industry members and researchers. However, it is not clear if Biochar production is practical for the industry, or if the stated outcomes are achievable in reality. This project has been initiated to collate the necessary background information on Biochar production and potential for the Australian chicken meat industry, and to consult with leading researchers and industry members who are promoting research into Biochar production.
