The AgriFutures™ Ignite Network is a new program launched to connect influencers, change agents and innovative thinkers who would like to positively impact the future of Australian agriculture.

The Ignite Advisory Panel is an exciting opportunity offered to members of the AgriFutures™ Ignite Network. The Ignite Advisory Panel will advise on aspects of the AgriFutures Australia’s Strategic R&D Plan 2017-2022.

Applicants must be members of the Ignite Network and have industry specific skills and knowledge in two or more areas of focus including; commercialisation, spin-outs, start-ups, communication and stakeholder engagement, development and training, leadership, rural industries, regional communities, and science, technology and innovation.

Alignment to a specific industry is not essential and location is no barrier. For those interested in applying it is important that applicants have a strong desire to create positive impact, innovate and make a difference in rural and regional Australia.

Successful applicants will work alongside AgriFutures Australia Managing Director, John Harvey for an 18-month term to ensure AgriFutures Australia’s work is meaningful and relevant, as well as identifying future opportunities and challenges which may have an impact on rural industries.

AgriFutures Australia, Managing Director, John Harvey said the AgriFutures™ Ignite Advisory Panel will provide the organisation with a vital pool of diverse industry knowledge to bounce ideas off and receive crucial feedback.

“This is the chance for Ignite Network members to immerse themselves in world-leading research, its application in Australia and foster new ideas for agricultural industries.

“We are looking for members that are innovative thinkers dedicated to enhancing rural industries, and rural and regional businesses and communities. The Ignite Advisory Panel will provide invaluable insights, ideas and perspectives to ensure we are tackling the critical issues and opportunities within our emerging and levied industries, and more broadly across agriculture in Australia,” said Mr Harvey.

Applications close Wednesday, 28 March 2018 at 5.00pm AEDT.
